Sins of the Heart by Eve Silver
There were several points at which I wanted to put this book down. It seemed to start too early, drag on too long, and the mythology felt as if someone twisted Egyptian mythology to suit their own purposes. In the end, the last half of the book picked up speed, but the open-ended nature of how the book ended left me hanging and again, wondered if some serious editing couldn’t tighten up the story and make it work better. I wanted to like this book. I really did. Dagan and Roxy were hot. I loved the dilemma in which they found themselves, and it seemed that there was a real story between them, but the ending felt like a cop out and I’m just not sure what all the fuss was about.
I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a copy for free from the Read and Review club.
